Steenberg Assam Jamguri . Steenbergs Organic Assam Tea, loose leaf is our everyday single estate Assam tea. Steenbergs Organic Assam Tea is a small broken orange pekoe leaf (the grade is TGBOP) and is a rich brown colour with a few golden tips through it. As a small leaf tea, Steenbergs Assam brews a vigorous black tea that is malty without too much astringency and works fabulously with milk and even some sugar. It's a good, old fashioned brew, but without too much bitterness and with good organic and ethical credentials to satisfy our souls. Lovely stuff. Brewing Tip: one teaspoon of Steenbergs organic Assam tea leaves per mug or person (please note: mug and person are not one and the same). Add freshly drawn, boiling water, steep for 4 - 5 minutes according to taste. One of the specially selected single estate loose leaf teas by Steenbergs.
